To avoid keystone distortion, conventional projectors have to be set up level with the screen. and that can be a nuisance. We have developed keystone distortion corrector to solve this problem Reported in this paper are the method of keyston distortion correction.
The second generation HUSE LSI chip set developed by Toshiba and Nippon Motorola is described. It consists of five digital picture processing chips, one audio signal processing chip, and one analog matrix IC. This new chip set has achieved high cost-effectiveness due to optimal circuit-system design and advanced 0.8μm CMOS custom LSI technology.
A new optical image stabilizer was implemented on the consumer video camera. With the development of new feedback servo techniques in order to control nonlinear, unstable, variable fluid prism, better frequency response was achieved.
A linear motor and a 3-phase MR position sensor have been developed to improve response and positional resolution of the focus lens for an inner-focus lens system. Furthermore a new lens control system applying those has also been developed and contributes quick zooming and focusing.
We have developed a new signal processing system for 3-CCD video movie cameras. It consists of "3-CCD Image Pickup Unit with gapless composition", "analog and digital signal processing LSIs for 3 CCD video cameras", and "digital signal processing LSIs for VCRs". This system achieves a very high picture quality equivalent to an ENG video camera with such a compact hardware as in a single-hand video movie camera for consumer use.
