We developed multi-dimensional ion beam diagnostics system with spatially and time resolution. We used newly developed Arrayed Pinhole Camera (APC) for this diagnosis. The APC can get spatially distribution of divergence and current density. We use two type of particle detector in this study. The one is CR-39 nuclear track detector. APC with CR-39 can get time integrated images. The other one is gated Micro-Channel-Plate (MCP) with phosphor plate looked by CCD camera. It enables time resolving diagnostics. The diagnostics systems have resolution better than 10mrad divergence. 0.5mm spatial resolution on the objects respectively. The time resolving system has 10ns time resolution. The experiments are performed on Reiden-IV and Reiden-SHVS induction linac. We get time integrated divergence distributions on Reiden-IV proton beam. We also get time resolved image on Reiden-SHVS.
A new method of optical memory and reproduction using otical waveguides is presented in this paper. The optical waveguide memory (OWM) is constructed with numerous small portions of index-mismatched material inplayed in a suitable length of optical waveguide channel The Index mismatched portion called "dimple" can be arrayed in accordance with memorable information as bit-memory. The analysis of reflection-mode signal from the dimples is presented using the coupled-mode equation. A method of reproduction of the signal is studied concerning optical heterodyne wave-detection using a frequency-shifted laser diode.
A new large area flat CRT consists of a multitude blocks connected in the horizontal direction. For each block a filament cathode is extended in the verticaldirection, a modulation electrode is placed in a parallel position behind the cathode, the vertical addressing electrodes are aligned Perpendicular to the modulation electrodes, and the horizontal deflecting electrodes are placed on either side of the cathode. Because of its simple construction, low production cost may be achieved. This paper reports the improvement method of brightness and spot size Its method carried out by determined to optimum valtage volue applied to vertical addressing electrodes.
