One of the methods which achieve a high-speed image data access required in designing image memory system is to set up cache memory, hereinafter referred to as image cache memory, between image memory and image signal processor. This paper describes it's control method and proposes the new method that forecasts the pixcel image signal processor needs and transfers previously it to image cache memory. In finaly, estimating it's performance, we could attain 4 times faster than system without image cache memory at 100 ns machine cycle time of image signal processor.
This paper presents a displaying method for simple animation of repetitive motion used for menu displaying. The method changes the picture rewriting frequency of animation continously according to the running condision of tasks other than the menu displaying task on the way of animation repetition. By making the displacement between each picture equal and changing smoothly the velocity variation which is defined as a parameter indicating unnatural movement, the menu displaying task and other tasks can run at the same time without unnatural movement of the menu.
Video Teleconferencing is expected to be an effective method of improving office productivity. However, the terminal for video teleconferencing have some problems of Man-Machine Interface. This paper shows that Man-Machine Interface can be improved by introducing new functions, such as Picture in Picture and information superimposing. The effect of these functions was confirmed by subjective tests, and we proposed an example of video teleconferencing terminal having these functuons.
