The effects of non-Gaussian noise on TV picture degradation are studied by using a composite noise generator(CNG) which can simulate the actual noise and control noise parameters such as power, APD, ACR, duration, and occurrence frequency. The disturbance is subjectively evaluated. The results show that the effect of noise power on TV picture is larger than those of APD and ACR, and the different MOS appears for cases of periodically and randomly occurred noise.
The technique of the character recognition is utilized in the various fields. However, in the field of the broadcasting, it is seldom generally used. This is to need a super computer or the hardware of the image processing exclusive use when doing a character recognition of the animation. Using a personal computer there this time, it developed the system which dose a character recognition and the various processing which accompanies it.
We use "Remote-CAMs"(Remote controled cameras=TENKI CAM) for news, weatherforcast and other programs. We operate many transmission facilities for news gethering and some are for "Remote-Cams". Each equipment had been operated by its own controller. We newly settled "NTV Standard Control Format" and completed "Remote-CAMs Total Control System".
Now Fuji TV have developed for pro-Baseball broadcasts a "Double Micro-CCD BaseCamera" which is hidden under FirstBase. On the technicalside there are few problems, the success of this equipment depends more on the production side, s ideas and on adjustment of camera positioning. scheduling, etc.
