Hivision Image has many industrial applications such as printing, movie, museum etc., In these fields, printing industry application is one of the most effective one, because Hivision has relatively high quality. Then,we are now trying to use Hivision image for newspaper. In this paper we report image quality improvement algorithm for moving Hivision images using one dimensional filters.

A scene recognition model with using synchronization among non-liner oscillators was proposed by Konig. This model, based on physiological evidence of oscillatory responses in visual cortex, reproduced neuron activities well. However it was impossible to extend its handling information category to both gray levels and high number of pixel, such as HDTV, by the reason of oscillator's inherent character. To overcome these situations, non-linear YANO oscillator that is endowed with wide frequency rage over several hundreds of times is employed to the Konig model. From some computer simulation results, it is clarified that the proposed model should employ newly devised desynchronizing-connection architecture to eliminate alias-correlation that is caused by false pull-in phenomena between oscillators.

A Computer simulation has been performed for the estimation of tristimulus values, using input device three signals, to establish device independent colour image data acquisition. Gaussian-shaped spectral sensitivities of input devices are assumed for the estimation. Wiener estimation with the Markov process correlation factors of 0.98 gives the CIEL^*a^*b^* average colour difference of 0.95 at the optimum spectral sensitivity.

The internal amplification photo-sensor using double-gate structure TFT(DG SENSOR) has been developed. Its top-gate acts as a photo-sensing gate and its bottom-gate acts as a pixel select gate. Photo-sense mechanism is the effective gate modulation. The accumulation of photo-excited holes in an a-Si region shields the negative electric field of the top-gate. 1-inch 2-dimensional 64dots/mm^2 contact sensor has been fabricated using these DC SENSORs. Each pixel consists of 1 transistor with 4 electrodes. It is fabricated by a low temperature process as same as an a-Si TFT display panel. DG SENSOR is applicable to large-area 2-D contact sensors and LSIs stacked over a million pixels with high sensitivity.

A readout scheme with thin film transistor (TFT) amplifier is proposed for a linear image sensor. Each pixel is provided with a TFT amplifier and additional TFT circuits which allow calibration of the TFT amplifier. Prototype sensors were successfully fabricated by the low-temperature poly-Si process utilizing excimer laser annealing.

We designed, fabricated and evaluated a new CMD imager which has multiple output architecture for image processing. The imager outputs simultaneous 3×3 signals of neighboring pixels and an image information is obtained by raster-scanning. The camera system using this imager successfully performed a real-time image pre-processing in 60 frames/s. This architecture is suitable for battery driven robotics systems or compact image recognition systems because of its low power consumption and low real-estate.
