A 2/3-inch format 600k pixel frame interline transfer CCD image sensor has been developed for high horizontal resolution bloadcast cameras. Optimization of photo diode impurity profile and minimization of isolation region have made possible a high-density pixel sensor with horizontal monochromatic resolution of 850 TV lines, a semsitivity of 120mV/lx, a dynamic range of 80dB and a smear reduction of -125dB.

In this paper basic experimental system about construction, transmission and reconstruction of electro-holography was constructed and it's charcteristics was considered. Namely as the moving object 3D rotated object is used and the fringe pattern of the object wave and reference wave is formed on TV camera directly, then light intensity is transformed to electric signal and transmitted. Finally the fringe pattern is displayed on the LCD panel and the image is reconstructed in real time. Also transmitting light and high diffraction light is eliminated. From these results the basic characteristics of the holographic television are confirmed and efficiency of this research is cleared.

Logic circuit applications of a new functional device called Neuron MOS Transistor (abbreviated as neuMOS or ννMOS) are presented. A νMOS is a multiple-input MOS transistor having a very simple device structure characterized by the linear-weighted sum and threshold operations performed at a single transistor level. Due to its functional similarity to biological neurons, it bares the name. We have found that any Boolean function can be realized by a two-stage configuration of νMOS inverters. In addition, the variable threshold nature of the device allows us to build real-time reconfigurable logic circuits (no floating gate charging effect is involved in varying the threshold). Based on the principle, we have developed Soft-Hardware Logic Circuits and Real-Time Rule-Variable Data Matching Circuits. A winner-take-all circuit which finds the largest signal by hardware parallel processing has been also developed. The circuit is applied to building an associative memory which is different from Hopfield network in both principle and operation. Application to advanced image processing by the combination with the BASIS image sensor is also discussed.

Not only studies of the artificial vision for the visually disabled are linked to for welfare equipments, but these studies are useful for many field that are robotics and computer visions et.al.. Mainly these studies are doing by technologists. But it is in need of studies in field of rehabilitation and handicapped education, for the developments of convenient welfare equipments and for the understanding of human characteristics. This report introduces to the report on the committee of artificial sense. Furthermore this report introduces to mobility aids for the blinds and the needs on visually disabled.
