    This Paper discribes the InteractiveDESK which utilizes the user's actions as the interaction methods with the system. This system has not only an ordinary uplight display but also a large desktop display with a pen-input facility to support the tasks in office or engineering envitonments. This system has a camera above the user to watch the user's actions and utilize them as interaction methods with the system. This system assist the user in swiching input methods, retrieving electronic files with real-world objects, and operating electronic objects on the desktop display with bare hands.

    A motion image input technique that enhances resolution by combining periodic position-shifting of a CCD sensor with motion-adaptive processing has been studied. Stillregions of the image are produced by integrating four frameimages input with a position-shifted CCD sensor. Motion regions are produced using the latest frame. We developed algorithm for detecting moving regions in the image input using the position-shifting CCD sensor. An experimentalsystem using a CCD sensor for the NTSC format shows that resolution in both the vertical and horizontal directions can be doubled and that moving regions can be detected successfully. Consequently, high-resolution natural motion images can be input.

    This Paper discribes new low power consumption driving method for CCD image sensor. Using LC resonance and E-class swiching method, two phase CCD driving power is reduced to about 1/3 of conventional driving power. To minimize power consumption, both transfer electrodes are kept high level voltage in horizontal transfer stopping period . Pure capacitive load driving power is reduced to about 1/18 times bythis driving method. This power redution ratio difference is generated by hysteresis characteristics of two phase CCD.

    It is Well-known that if an input optical image of a CCD image sensor contails higher special-frequency components than Nyquist frequency, a spurious pattern named aliasing generates in the out-put image. To supress the aliasing, an opticalspecial-frequency filter of birefringence quartz plate is attached to the CCD. This paper describes the design of birefringence quartz filters and their characteristics. The frequency responce is not necessarily parfect but the accuracy of cut-off frequency is expected to br very high.

    A 2/3inch 2M pixel CCD HDTV camera has been developed in response to the demand for small size, light weight and high picture quality. This camera uses newly developed 2/3 inch 2M pixel MFIT CCD and with the development of a high speed CCD signal processing technology realize the performance which is over 1 inch 2M pixel camera. And also we realize a horizontal resolution of 1200TV lines and an amplitude response of more than 40% with a development of single channel CCD transfer method and high precision offset imaging technology.

    A two-tube, single CCD color TV camera has been developed that is sensitive to wavelengths of 250-1050nm (from UV to IR)and uses the false-color method. The camera shus provides spectral information unattainable by the naked eye. It is possible to select a visible light color image or two kinds of invisible-light color images by changing the filters. applications are expected in many fields, including science, education and industry.

    Integration-time based, time-domain computation provides an area-efficient way to process image information by directry handling photo-created charge during photo-sensing. We have fabricated and tested two integration-time based, time-domain conputational image sensors. The first is a multi-integration time photo-receptor which uses different integration periods depending on light intensity. It exhibits a dynamic range for light intensity 128 times larger than that of a single integration period photoreceptor. The second is a CCD-based range-finding sensor which exploits two charge packets for light integration and detects the delay of the receiving light pulses. It has detected 15cm distance difference.

    In LCDs, poly-si Thin Film Tranports (poly-Si TFTs) have the potential to realize higher pixel density, higher aparture ratio and faster pixel TFT operation than a-Si TFTs. However, a simulator enable to analysis of poly-Si TFT is not on the market . In this paper, it is described we modified crystalline-Si MOSFET model of usual Spice and made poly-Si TFTmodel. Using this model, the Spice is able to simulate poly-Si TFT. We can estimate a optimaized value of Vgl on 640*480 dots n-ch poly-Si TFT-LCD.
