NTV has succeeded to be the first in Japan to produce programs all done in computer graphics. The four experimental programs entitled "CG Drama series" (each 30 minutes) are works of April, 1995. The latest computerized system was oriented and a newly developed techique enabled efficient visualizing of high quality CG. The optical motion capture system as well as the magnetic motion capture system of 1994 are some of the noticable skills that supported the production. Its high performance recieved wide attention and is sure to be applied to future software production of the multimdia era.

In the contribution of high quality video sources, such as EDTV-I, the conventional FPU can transmit only 4.2MHz horizontal frequency band width. Especally for squeezed mode programs, only three fourths of horizontal band width of conventional NTSC's band width is obtained when EDTV-I encoding (4-3 conversion) is carried out. In this paper, we report a new FPU that transmit 6MHz horizontal band width of EDTV-I video signals including its experimental system and investigation.
