  • II.4種のSaccharomycesの抗原構造

    Antigenic analysis of several species of Saccharomyces were carried out with particular refferences to those of genus Candida. It was found that antigenically S.fragilis and S.marxianus were the same to C.pseudotropicalis, and S.ellipsoideus and S.cerevisiae, to C.robusta. These results were repoted precisely in previous paper. This paper deals with the other four species of Saccharomyces, i. e. S.willianus, S.uvarum, S. delbrueckii, and S.bisporus. Experiments were performed with siide aggultination reaction using the mono-specific antisera and adsorbed sera and investigated about heat-stable and-labile antigens of the species. Results obtained were summarized as follows : These results show that S.willianus has the same atigenic structure to S.cerevisiae and C.orbusta and S.uvarum has also the same antigens to these organisms except lacking heat-labile antigens. Thus it seems to be desirable that the classification of yeasts should no be done by the biochemical activities, but by the serological characteristics.

    The present paper deals with physiological influences of noise on the neuromuscular system. This experiment was carried out upon 18 human beings. They were exposed to noise (113db, 600-800cps), and neuromuscular potentials were measured at 21 muscles before and during exposure by surface electrodes. The following results were obtained : 1) There were some evidences of increments of the neuromuscular tension during exposure to noise in 14.7% of the muscles of 18 individuals. 2) Muscles which responded relatively frequently were M. masseter, M. sacrospinalis and M. gastrocunemius. 3) The responses seemed to appear more frequently in muscles in contraction rather than in resting state. 4) It was suggested that many factors in individual senitivities were contributing to the response.

    6 rabbits were exposed to noises, and the neuromuscular states were electrically observed from M. longissimus dorsi and M. masseter by co-axial needle electrode. Analysis of the noise revealed that overall intensities were 107-110db and each noise had a peak at 256, 512, 1024, 2048 and 4096cps respectively. The duration of stimuli was about 5 seconds. The following results were obtained : 1) Marked increase of muscle tension appeared in almost all of the animals in these muscles. 2) 4 types could be differentiated in the mode of responses. 3) The more the pitch of noise was increased, the more the latent period of the response was prolonged. 4) Duration period of the response seemed to be corresponding with the duration of stimuli. 5) Variance of persisting period of the response after the cesssation of stimuli was less in masseter than in longissimus dorsi. 6) There were no essential differences between two muscles but it seemed that the masster responded more closely to the stimuli than the logissimus dorsi.

    In this experiment, period of exposure to noise was 60 seconds. 5 rabbits were used and the neuromuscular tension was observed from M. masster by surface needle electodes. Noises were used in different intensities as 80, 90,100 and 110 db as well as in different pitches as 256, 1024 and 4096 cps. The following results were obtained : 1) The minimum threshold of responses was between 90 and 110 db according to individual differences in sensitivities to noise. 2) The more the intensity of sound was increased, the more the duration and persisting periods of responses were prolonged and the mean amplitude of responses increased. But no significant changes were found in latent periods. 3) The more the pitches of sound were increased, the more the latent periods were prolonged, duration and persisting periods shortend and mean amplitudes decreased. 4) Conclusions : The influence of noise on living organismus are more marked when the srimuli were of high intensities and/or low pitches.

    External auditory canals of rabbits were plugged with paraffinized cotton and then they were exposed to noise (110db ; 256, 1024, 4096 cps). The following results were obtained : 1) In the plugged group there were no responses except one animal at 256 cps. 2) This response of plugged rabbit was apparently weakend than in the case without plug. 3) Conclusion : Air-conduction is the major way of stimulation in such cases of the neuromuscular responses as this experiment.

    Here to fore, the blood-pressure measurement, which is fundamental in the health supervision of patients suffering from hypertension, has been done only at their resting condition, that is only the static blood-pressure has been dealt with. But as regards the blood-pressure change of hypertensives during their work-time, the author suppose it would be necessary to study it in its dynamic conditions. And we made an inquiry into the blood-pressure change of hypertensives during the step-up test made of them (30cm high 25 time a minutes). The results were as follows i) The difference of blood pressure existing at their rest time between hypertensives and non- hyper-tensives remained unchanged even under the effect of the test. But 3, 4 or 5 minutes after the work began, the blood-pressure increase became more remarkable in the hypertensives and 3 minutes after the releasement from work the blood-pressure became less than at rest, and a negative phase appeared. ii) In a short time exercise, hypertensive showed a notable change in blood pressure and a negative phase was still to be seen even ten minutes later.

    28 geistig Gestörte (20 Patienten mit Neurose, 4 Patienten mit Schizophrenic, 2 Patienten mit Derpression, 1 Patient mit Psychopathie und I Patientin mit Cénésthopathie) wurden mit einem neuen Chlorpromazinderivat, “Chlorpromazin-Sulfoxyd” behandelt. Diese Arznei hat ziemlich starke Wirkung auf die nervösen Kopfschmerzen und neurotischen Angstzustände, aber fast keine auf die schizophrenen Symptome. Die Wirkung der Arznei ist im allgemeinen weit schwächer als die des Chlorpromazins. Nennenswerte Nebenwirkungen und andere somatische Effekte werden nie gefunden. Es ist vor allem merkwürdig, dass das durch die Chlorpromazinbehandlung häufig aufgetretene Parkinsonsyndrom hier nicht vorkommt. Die Verfasser meinen, dass klinisch wenige Wirkung des Chlorpromazin-Sulfoxyds mit dem geringfügigen somatischen Effekte desselben im Zusammenhang steht.

    Cohn&Carter法自身およびこれを筋内アデニル化合物分析に応用するときの基礎条件を検討し, つぎの成績をえた. 1) 本法はBowenらの酵素的測定法の結果とよく一致する. 2) 本実験について樹脂の260mμ吸収物質, 実験温度, 溶離速度などについて検討し, 誤差の原因を明らかにした. 3) カラムの径を小さくすれば微量定量が可能である. 4) 生筋よリアデニル化合物を抽出するときの除蛋白剤について検討を加えた. 5) 蛙筋のアデニル化合物は夏冬で大差ない. 本法は分離能はすぐれているが精度はやゝ低いと思われる. 稿を終るにあたり, 御懇切なる御指導を賜つた関根教授, 教室の田中公一, 平野重明両氏, 並びに種々御指導, 御便宜を戴いた東大, 医, 栄養学教室の皆様に厚く感謝する.
