This paper describes the method of the production of Computer Graphics with reality using the Images observed by Satellites and its application to TV programs. This method consists of generation of 3 dimensional geographical model from contour map and correction of Satellite's Image distortion and synthesis of 3 dimensional geographical model with Satellites Image. This method was applied to NHK special program "The Virgin Peak Namchabarwa" and showed its effectiveness.

The digital compression unit for picture data is the key component of the digital SNG unit. We succeeded in compressing picture signals of 216Mb/s down to those of 7Mb/s by means of an adaptive DCT system.
