    The authors' bond theory developed in Part I of this paper was applied to relatively short reinforced concrete prisms and to long reinforced concrete prisms, both of which were provided with central tensile rein-forcement and subjected to tension. From the comparison of theoretical and experimental results, the following remarks were obtained. (1) In the case of short prisms, the steel stress distribution in a given prism was successfully predicted by the theory, and the relationship between the applied load and the relative displacement of the reinforcement with respect to the concrete at the end surfaces gave a measure to evaluate the bond efficiency of reinforcing bars. (2) In the case of sufficiently long prisms, the mechanism of gradual formation of cracks was explained reasonably by the theory, and the cooperation of concrete in resisting the applied tension force was quantitatively defined by introducing the coefficients k_1 and k_2 both in the theory and in the interpretation of test results. (3) It was suggested that the differences between theoretical and autual results were mainly due to the warping phenomenon of the originally plane concrete section near the end surfaces.

    In current experimental researches on inelastic behavior of steel framed structure a marked increase in the ultimate strength and ductility in load-deflection relationship has been observed. This tendedcy may be mainly caused by strain-hardening of the material. In the previous reports the authors proposed the elastic-plastic analysis of steel frames and discussed the instability problems of partly plastic frame in absence of strain-hardening. Such theoretical approach is apt to tend to a conservative estimate of failure load and be lacking in practical applicabity. A study herein is made for inelastic analysis of fundamental systems such as cantilever beam-columns and portal frames taking account of strain-hardening. A role of strain-hardening on steel structures also investigated.

    Strength of columns subject to concentric compression is uppper limit of that of columns subject to combined bending and axial forces, Many experimental investigations proved that in case of ordinary reinforced concrete this strength of concentric compressioned columns is able to be computed by formula of additional method. However, in order to use this fomula, it is need that all the stress of concrete in the section of column is uniformal and that compressive failure strain of concrete is larger than the yield point strain of steel, and that more amounts of steels and insufficient covering depth don't make the cracks on the corner.

    The response of line-like structures such as steel towers to wind gust have been obtained with technick of stochnick process by Davenport. He used the coherence instead of the cross-correlation spectrum. We proof that the coherence used by Davenport is the upper bound of cross-correlation spectrum with Davenports data. In practical point of view, the response of line-like structures to wind gust may be estimated fairely well closely by these two bounds.

    For the acoustical design of a multipurpose auditorium, having 1, 500 seats, acoustical properties of the auditorium was investigated with model experiments. The cross section designed of this auditorium was rather unusual, having large flat side walls diverging upwards. At the first step of the experiment, the geometric acoustic behaviour of the room was studied with the optical model, scale 1 : 100. Next, using the acoustical model, the shape of the wall and the ceiling and the position of sound absorbing surfaces were investigated so as to prevent long-delayed echoes and to get regularly and gradually decreasing echo oscillogrammes over the whole audience area. The scale of the acoustical model was 1 : 10, and the sound source was 2ms pulse of warbling tone of 10kc. In these model experiments, the various modifications in the design were carried out easily, and as the results, the effects of modifications were indicated clearly, thus, we could find the adequate measures to improve decay curves, such as the diffusing elements fitted up on the front side walls. Acoustic investigation after the completion of this auditorium has shown that the echo oscillogrammes, obtained in the model, showed very good agreement with the corresponding decay curves from the actual room, and any acoustic defects were not obtained.

    We tried to survey the the locality constitution of MAEBARA town from the following viewpoint; The most important factor that decides the relationship of the mutural dependance in shopping is the difference of the accessibility and the economical function between the centre locality and the outer localities. We studied the statistics of shops in 1964, traffic affaires and the pattern of the locality arrangement at MAEBARA town. We delivred the investigation cards to students of MAEBARA and ITO middle school, which inquire the place of the shopping, the means of the traffic and the reasons of shopping. MAEBARA town is divided by 6 sections which were former towns and villages befor 1955., there is one centre section, MAEBARA-section, in which concentrated many shops and offices and most of inhabitants depend on these facilities. Bus routes extend to each sections from M.-section and the train service is available there. The other sections are agricultural localities surrounding the M.-section. Most of shops at outer sections sell the daily neccessities, but at M.-section sell the durable goods. Breads and cakes, provisions, row fishes, liquirs and tobaccos are sold at every section and the inhabitants can buy them easily, but Furnitures, kitchinwares, meats, books and magazines, bicycles, watches and glass, medecines, clogs, radio and TV sets and clothes are bought at M.-section, even if they are sold at the outer sections. In conclusion, M.-section is considered as the centre locality, and the inhabitants at MAEBARA town depend on M.-section. There are not mutural dependance between the outer sections.
