In the present study, the problem of sedimentation occurring to the hign slump concrete is discussed. Such a phenomenon is comparatively rare in the low slump concrete, but in the case of high slump concrete sedimentation is rather conspicuous. The contents of the study first deals with the experiments of this phenomenon of cement paste, then with the evaluation of the mortar is used, and lastly tried to find out what kind of mixing proportion encourages sedimentation of high slump conrete, by pursuing both theoretically and experimentally. Thus, comparison is made between both calculated and experimented values of the sedimentation rate of high slump concrete, we can obtain a fairly good agreement with both values.

This paper deals with the theoretical analysis of elasto-plastic buckling of steel plate under uniaxial repeated loading. According to the principle which appeared in this transactions No.125 July 1966, critical strain (ε_<ck>)_p in plastical domain has the following form (3.16) on simple supported plate under increasing load. The import of this equations are shown in Fig 4. In this result, (ε_<ck>)_p on the plate under repeated loading has the following form (3.16), too. And the plysical import of this case are shown in Fig. 6. In the next, it is consider that the steel plate is stable in elasto-plastic domain under always increased compressing from σ=0 : ε=0, the condions of this stable given by the table 1, assuming that the strain of steel plates at the end of the flat yielding zone ε_B 1.4%.

A series of vibration experiments was conducted on consolidation process of loose sand in which it was determined of exsistance of definite pattern in the transformation of effective pressure, excess pore water pressure and settlement. Report is on an attempt of theoretial interpretation of this phenominon in idealised form. That is, rising and falling perods of excess pore water pressure were divided into 3 states, semi-liquefied, liquefied, and stabilised, and relation between the excess pore water pressure, effective pressure and distortion of respective states were established toward explanation of exsistance of complete liquefaction, rate of settlement and time requieed for consolidation.

    (1) In proceeding papers, we showed that the whole time for design is different in proportion to size of building each king of architecture. and pointed that it is necessary to analyse the each activity particularly in a preliminary stage of design process in order to establish the design method of architecture. (2) In the present report, especially, we analysed the activities of actual design process from the subscribed project, by the design team of the division of design in this company, for Kyoto National Congress Hall, and applied some theories of network to this process, then proposed applying the new network theory to architectural design. (3) In part 1 of this report, we pointed out some questions about the actual design process, and showed that it is difficult to apply the conventional theories of network i. e. PERT, GERT, to an architectural design. Then we proposed the new technique for analysing the design the desing process, named DERT or Design Evaluation and Review Technique. The characteristiics of DERT is to use the generalized network, having some loops, some decision boxes and information sources necessary to decide whether to go on or back the process. (4) In part 2 of this report, we classified the activities of actual design, for which we applied the DERT network. As the results, we showed that in the preliminary stage of design process there are five phases : (a) confirmation of a given brief (b) aiming the design goal, (c) analysis, (d) synthesis, (e) presentation. (5) In this paper, the following problems are remained unsolved : (a) to make a diagram of the DERT network available for the general design process, (b) to develop the network calculation method of DERT, (c) to constuct the structural model of informations, which have been gained at each phase of design.

The purpose of this research was to gain data on the maintenance of buildings in order to determine suitable periods for repair. I surveyed 100 telegraph and telephone office buildings, selected from all districts in Japan, to compare different conditions of age, region, climate and size. The survey was about 130 items in every part of the buildings, such as roofs, exterior walls, paint surfaces window and door fittings, interior walls, ceilings, floor and others. The problem of past surveys is that they have not provided sufficient information on building wear, but the accumulation of the surveys will provide better rules for building maintenance.
