Using the approximate a slope-deflection equations in the elastic-plastic range suggested in the previous reports (Part I and II), the elastic-plastic behaviors of three-story frames are analyzed. Computational process in explained and numerical examples of three-story frames pinned and fixed at the bases are shown and discussed. Load-deflection curves for three-story frames with rectangular and H-section members are presented in cases of λ_1=15 and 30, (λ=slenderness ratio of column member), column thrust loads P_8=p, P_2=2P, P_1=3P, and axial column load ratio n_<01>=0.3. From the results of this study it is concluded that all frames under the assumed load conditions and frame geometry reach the stability limit before the collapse mechanism is developed and the critical load becomes considerably lower than the collapse load predicted by simple plastic theory.

The authors deal with the methods of stress analysis of cross beam structures which behave as plates. The composing members of the system are assumed to be elastic, and the effects of shearing, twisting and bending deformations are included. While connections are assumed to be rigid. In this paper following three methods are described : (i) Slope-deflection method. At every joint there are three displacements, one deflection and two rotations, as unknowns and three equilibrium equations are brought out. (ii) Difference equation. If same structural units are repeated, simultaneous difference equations can be formulated. The number of equations is 3 N, where N is the number of joints included in one unit. The equations are presented by using linear operators, to which three rules, i.e. addition, subtraction and multiplication, are availabe. Using the matrix of these operators the authors propose "a parametric function", from which all displrcements can be derived by the difference operation without summing up procedure. (iii) Differential equation. As an approximate method, the differential equations are derived from the difference equations, developing the displacements into Taylor series and the accuracy on this procedure is discussed. Also "a parametric function" is used. The partial differential equation with respect to the displacement w is the 6th order, because it includes shearing deformation. When shearing deformation is neglected, the order of the above equation reduces to four. This 4th order equation corresponds to that of the anisotropic plate derived from Kirchhoff's assumptions.

By using the method of "Part I", the differential equations are derived for the following cases : (i) two way cross beam structures, (ii) three way, and (iii) four way. For every case the coefficients of the differential equation are given, and displacements and stresses are formulated as functions of "a parametric function", and the accuracy are discussed. In special cases, such as the rectangular cross beam structures composed of equal beam of EI=GJ, or the three way cross beam system of equal beams, the equations correspond to that of an isotropic plate.

Auto-correlation of natural noise in vibration at the top of the housing gives correctly its natural frequency. We selected 221 housings of 5 storied standard type in 26 J.H.C. housing estats as a sample. The results shows as under. 1. In an estat itself, there are pretty deviations in natural frequency of housing. 2. The difference among the estats appears clearly. 3. As these housings vibrate themselves in rocking mode according to the deformation of the ground around the foundation, the natural frequency of the housing correlates closely to the geological conditions.

The distinctive feature of the pequency characteristics of sound transmission loss (T.L.) of cavity panels and resilient material sandwich panels is that they have a resonance-transmission-frequency in low frequency range, (formula No.14) and theoretically their frequency characteristic is to be analized substituting them to a mecaanical system which is consists of a mass and a spring mounting it. (formula No.10) In this report, from the theoretical point of view mentioned above, measured values of TL were compared with the theoretical value and the method to design the frequency-characterictic of TL of cavity panels and resilient material sandwich panels was discussed.

When pressure of population covers cirtain area of land, many physical phenomena which are called city, appears on the land. Subject of this report is to research the physical form and scale of cities in Japan. These physical phenomena of cities are expression for potentiality strength of cities. We have found that We can classify the potentiality strength of city by multiplying the population number with its area. In this report I have described how to find number showing the potentiality strength of city, and relationship between the number and physical phenomena of city. The report is concentratea about physical phenomena of roas, and will be the first part of the selies of study.
