Tests were performed for influences of impurities contained in mixing water for concreting on setting properties, strength gain, drying shrinkage of mortor or concrete, etc. The impurities tested consist of 35 kinds of substances relatively largely dissolved in river water and well water to be used as mixing water for concreting. On the basis of the test results, consideration was made to set up a standard for examining mixing water for concreting. As a result, it is found that concentration of 10, 000 ppm of impurities contained in water is criterion for determining whether or not the water in question can be used as mixing water for concreting.

In this paper, we report the distribution of beginning time and the closing time in offices, factories, stores and high shcools in Osaka city. 1. a. In Fig. 4.1, the distribution of the beginning time, and in Fig. 4.2, the distribution of the closing time are shown on the basis of the kinds of the enterprises in Osaka city. b. In Fig. 4.4, the distribution of the beginning time, and in Fig. 4.5, the distribution of the closing time are shown on the basis of the classified number of the employee. c. In Fig. 4.7, the distribution of the beginning time, and in Fig. 4.8, the distribution of the closing time are shown on the basis of the classified region in Osaka city (22 ward). d. In general, on the beginning time, 8 : 00, 8 : 30 and 9 : 00, and on the closing time, 17 : 00, 17 : 30 and 18 : 00 take up a considerably high percentage. Each percentages are 8 : 00-25%, 8 : 30-22%, 9 : 00-39% and 17 : 00-50%, 17 : 30-17%, 18 : 00-10%. 2. In Fig. 4.9, the distribution of the beginning time of high schools in Osaka city is shown. In the public high schools, 8 : 30 and 8 : 40 take up a considerably high percentage, and in the private high schools, the variance of the beginning times is larger than the public high schools.

Housing level is measured by the relation between constructions of families and conditions of dwelling units. By our analysis, housing level is affected by social classes of dwellers and these classes are related to the characters of districts which are also concerned to the relation between the place of work and residence. The typical dwelling unit of low housing level in tenements is one-room with common lavatory, the family who live in this unit is one with children of three years or more of age, and their occuption is mostly physical labourer, and their income is less than 40-50 thousands "yen" and they live near industrial or mixed use districts.
