The purpose of this study is to clarify the attitude of modern young people toward their life style and clothing life. Data were obtained from 343 male university students in the area of Kinki.
    The results were as follows:
    1) In the sense of values, the daily concern, the worth of living and the personality traits; the characteristics of life style which was peculiar to the young were clarified.
    2) They were much intrested in dresses and they were mindful of wearing such clothing as fitted for situation and loved by everyone. On the other hand, they responded affirmatively to fashion.
    3) There were significant relationships between the clothing behaviors and the characteristics of life style such as view of occupation, view of marriage, worth of living and existence of female friends.
    4) According to the types classified by the differences in the attitude toward wearing and in purchas ing behavior, the differences in demographic variables and characteristics of life style were clarified.

The foam washing uses foams as gas/liquid dispersion media, in which clothes are separated from wash liquid, and it aims at saving of water, prevention of water pollution and decline of damage and deterioration of clothes. In this paper, we used four kinds of foam washing machines differed in the volume of washing sink ( 1.9, 12.3, 24.7 and 70.6 l) and in the defoaming systems. A study was made on the effect of air flow rate of foam washing by air injection method on the detergency of the natural dirt on the collar and the artificial cluster dirt. Following results were obtained.
    1) When the air flow rate was increased in the foam washing, generally the rate of foam creation increased in proportion with the air flow rate, and blow ratio fixed into a range from 700 to 1000, but at the air flow rate below that point, the rate of foam creation lowered to deviate from the proportional relation and blow ratio increased remarkably.
    2) In the foam washing, it was recognized that the detergency generally increased as the air flow rate increased and the maximum detergency was obtained in the range of air flow rate over foaming property transfer point.
    3) Foaming property transfer point (A) wes the suitable air flow rate for detergency, and it followed the equation A =0.87V+18.7 related with the volume of washing sink (V) .
