In this paper, the influence of the fabric properties, the making-up conditions and the knit pattern of lace fabrics on the configuration of lace curtains were discussed. The results obtained were as follows :
The configuration of knitted lace curtains was considered to be determined by the view points of both pleat regularity and the amount of pleat, and was categorized into the three groups just as the same with the case of woven fabric curtains discussed in the previous paper. It was not observed that the knit pattern of lace fabrics was influential in the grouping.
It was shown that the effect of the making-up methods and the times of track length (amount of fabrics) on the visual curtain configuration was almost the same as the case of woven fabric curtains. As for the influence of the knit pattern categorized into the two groups (plain and decorative), plain lace fabrics contributed to the regularity of the visual curtain configuration and decorative ones contributed to the apparent amount of pleat and the visual depth of curtains. It was considered that the characteristics of lace fabrics such as knit pattern and sheer structure were influential in the visual configuration of curtains.
