In this paper, the configuration of seam puckers was studied. The results obtained were as follows:
    (1) Puckers were given to fabrics by the plates with a sine curve pattern. The profiles of puckers were measured at various distances from the plate and the spectral analysis was done. The configuration of puckers given by the pattern plate was shown by the spectral density.
    (2) The minimum wave length (λ) of puckers was observed from the spectral density. The curve relation between (λ-λ0) +correction term and χ/ (1-S) 2was shown on a semi- log graph in our experimental conditions. Where, λ0; wave length of the pattern plate, χ; distance from the pattern plate, S; fabric shrink age ratio given by the pattern plate.
    (3) Under some assumptions, λ of seam puckers agreed well with the result mentioned above.

In Part 1, shrinkage and changes of mechanical properties caused by the dry-cleaning were investigated by using 60 fabrics for men's suits. In this paper, these changes are investigated more precisely and changes of fabric properties by dry-cleaning are separated from those by the finishing steam press. The influence of fibre content, fabric and yarn construction, and finishing on the changes of fabric properties by dry-cleaning are investigated for 7 fabrics.
Changes of these fabric properties and handle by dry-cleaning are similar to those observed in Part 1. For polyester fabrics which were not used in Part 1, the decrease of bending hysteresis and hand values of ‘KOSHI’ and ‘HARI’ observed with increasing cleaning cycles, only by steam press. This tenden-cy are recognized more largely in polyester spun fabric than polyester textured fabric.
In the case of wool fabrics, small changes of mechanical properties both by pressing and by drycleaning are shown, but properties of mild-finished fabric change more largely than clear-finished one, and mild-finished fabric is largely influenced only by pressing, too.
