The purpose of this study is to develop the techniques for clarifying the features of the armhole (hereinafter referred to as an AH) curves which are drawn as a free curve about items such as a sloper which distinguishes between Ladies' and Men's, a shirt and a jacket.
In this paper, AH lines were examined with the method of converting them into the angle plot figures.
The main results obtained are as follows:
1. 110 standardized angle plot figures were made by operations of making angle plot figures by sampling points on coordinates on AH lines, using a standardized distance and performing curve fitting by 3rd Bezier curve.
2. The curve fitting evaluated by visual observation is considered satisfactory.
3. By using the 3rd Bezier curve, average angle plot figures could be easily drawn by means of the average value of control points.
