ジャーナル フリーI. Observations on the blood monocytes of pulmonary tuberculosis patients on improving stadium (streptomycin treatment):
Total counts of the monocytes decreased, while the ratio of monocyte per lymphocyte increased. The nucleus form shifted to the right slightly. The monocytes with lower and higher basophility decreased and moderately basophilic monocytes were similar to “Schub” cases. The square of cytoplasm decreased and that of nucleus too decreased slightly. On the improving stadium, regeneration and degeneration of blood monocytes decreased.
2. We observed blood monocytes of severe or agonal cases by the supravital staining method with neutral red and Janus green. The larger monocytes with neutral red rosette-pattern increased and total counts of mitochondria in cytoplasm decreased.抄録全体を表示PDF形式でダウンロード (979K) -

ジャーナル フリーAnilin-Citrate Method was employed for the estimation of oxalacetic acid produced from the anaerobic reaction of a-ketoglutaric acid and aspartic acid with BCG suspension, the experimental results obtained thereof are as follows:
1. INAH inhibits the aspartic-oxalacetic transamination reaction of BCG.
2. The inhibition of the transamination reaction by INAH is eliminated by pyridoxine or ATP or by their combination
3. The transamination reaction of the BCG resistant to 100 mcg/cc INAH receives practically no inhibitory influence by M/100 INAH.
4. The transamination reaction of BCG is inhibited by dihydro-streptomycin, while not influenced by para-arnino salicylic acid.抄録全体を表示PDF形式でダウンロード (1064K) -

Strain: H2 strain.
Amount inoculated: 0.2mg per 4cc medium.
Period of cultivation: 2 weeks.
Results: 1. Bacteriostatic action of INAH on tubercle bacilli is not influenced by vitamin B, , B, , Bo C, folic acid, pantothenic acid, nicotinic acid, nicotin amide and cozymase.

The author had the oppOrtunities to make the investigation of a considerable number of sputa as routine work. Ogawa's method was used in the following studies, which has been extensively used in Japan, The sputa cultured were only those which were negative in the direct-smear preparations stained by Ziehl-Neelsen's method. ジャーナル フリーThe potency of 8 samples of the purified tuberculin, KPT (obtained by Kurakane's procedure) was compared with that of old tuberculin, OT, standardized by the National Institute of Health in Tokyo, in skin reactions on 2723 pupils, who were vaccinated with BCG before 3-6 months. The results were as follows:
1. KPT 0.1γ dissolved in 0.1cc of saline solution was far inferior in erythema producing potency in all samples than OT against those, vaccinated with BCG, while the former was almost equivalent in its potency to the latter against those, who were not vaccinated.
2. The frequency of the formation of induration, double erythema or vesicle was far higher with 0.2γ of all 8 samples of KPT than that with OT and slightly higher with 0.1γ in those, who were vaccina抄録全体を表示PDF形式でダウンロード (1562K)
