In this study, a questionnaire survey of 5,469 students and 6,642 parents and teachers in Ichinomiya City, Aichi Prefecture, and an interview survey of 19 junior high school principals were conducted to examine the effects of the junior high school uniforms produced and adopted reflecting “everyone’s thoughts” immediately after their introduction and nine months after their introduction. As a result, it became clear that immediately after the introduction of the new uniforms reflecting “everyone’s thoughts”, the new uniforms made the pupils and students strongly aware that they are members of the school, fostered “school pride” and “civic pride”, and created a feeling of “a fulfilling school life”. Nine months after the introduction of the new uniform, it was evident that the new uniform developed into a review of school rules, discussions, and student self-government activities. These effects are demonstrated by the feeling of “good points” of the introduction of the new uniform, which has a positive impact on the school.
