1)Renal anaphylactic shock was induced by single injection of the anti-rabbit-kidney guinea pig serum. In one group the antiserum was injected into the left renal artery of the pregnant rebbits, and in the other the injection was carried out similarly into the marginal ear vein, and these histological changes in the kidney were investigated. 2)Concerning with the group of rabbits injected into the left renal artery, no significant changes were observed in the right kidney, and slight changes were found in the left kidney. Namely, anemia of the glomerulus and dilatation of the glomerular capillaries were found. 3)On the other hand, various findings were observed in the group of the rabbits injected into the ear vein. Pathohistological changes of the glomerulus in this group were divided into three groups. These changes in respective group were as follows: i)Degenerative changes of the glomerulus, with eosinophilic substances in the Bowman's capsule, adhesions of glomerular loops, anemia, and swelling of the glomerulus. ii)Productive changes of the glomerulus, with prolifiration of mesangial cells and anemia of capillaries. iii)Glomerulus showing only slight anemia. 4)As the result of those experiments above mentioned, anaphylaxis was emphasized in pregnancy and it was suggested that the function of endocrine organ might play a considerably important part on the mechanism to occur nephritis. But, it is necessary to study the genesis of this point in detail.
