(Part 1) Diagnosis and therapy of deafness of children: On the diagnosis of deafness of children, screening tests were carried out for many school children to find out deafness was present at the biginning. Following tests were used: pure tone of 20db., 30db. intensity (500c/s-4, 000c/s) and speech audiometry. Many more cases with deafness in high percentage were found by 20db. screening than in any other tests. In primary trouble of deafness there could be seen comparatively less perceptive deafness.
(Part 2) Diagnosis and therapy of perceptive deafness:
Many kinds of treatment with medications were tried for each perceptive deafness. Hearing test showed an indication of hearing improvement. Hearing was improved in 25-35% of the cases on the average, but there were some difference in every sort of deafness and medications used.

A Case of hypo-electrolytemia was observed in the postoperative course craniopharyngioma, and recovered by potassium therapy was reported. Hypernatremia and hypochloremia are said to appear in patients of hypophyseal tumor in particular. In cases of postoperative unconciousness or hyperpyrexia therefore, much attention should be paid to electrolyte disorders.
