Electronic patient records, introduced into our hospital in March 2004, have enabled us to provide high quality Pharmaceutical Management and counseling Services, including reduction of possible risks during preparation of medicines and development of new expanding fields of pharmacy. On the other hand, electronic patient records have resulted in creating several difficulties such as unresolved problems in the previous version of the information system, many steps required to order correctly, and supporting strategies for when the information systems shut down. Although the present electronic patient records are not perfect and have many limitations, they are an essential parts of our open, safe, and efficient hospital information system. We are in the process of refining our information system and working manuals.
