In the current aged society, shortage of care givers is crucial. Not only lower wages and long working hours, but also frustration over operation is frequently cited as the reason for high turnover rate. In order to avoid such frustration and keep the service at a certain level, care content should be evaluated objectively and it must be shown how appropriately care is given. For that purpose, the features of skilled care givers of high-quality care facilities will be identified based on eye tracking and behavior observation. Results should indicate decision-making process of skilled care givers, which can be referred for support of novice care givers and improvement of care quality.
In this work, we propose care recording system of person with dementia for improving care quality and efficiency. We classified caretaker's status into 24 categories, and then we develop the system to be used on portable terminal. Caregiver who works in care facility uses this system to monitor the caretaker's status. This system makes it possible to provide sustainable and correct care service, which matches to caretaker's condition and their needs. Currently, caretaker's information was noted as qualitative data, but our care recording system can gather the quantitative data about caretaker's condition, and behavior with fewer caregivers' burden. It is possible to extract some patterns of change in caretaker's status, so it could reveal relationships between caregiver's service and caretaker's status. Furthermore, it is possible to analyze the difference of care between expert caregiver and novice caregiver. We expect these result makes caregiver easier to understand more about caretaker's feelings and behaviors, so they could enrich the quality of care.
We propose a BDI agent and behavior model that can simulate the behavior of parentchild pairs in evacuations, In a time of emergency, parents and their children evacuate together, however, some child get lost. Parents look for their children, and go to them with against the major flow of evacuation. The experiments show that our proposed BDI model and modified force model simulate such family-minded human behaviors and congestions caused by the interactions in the crowd.
We propose a dynamical access control database management system for disaster information sharing. In disaster events, many kind of information can be effective to decrease disaster damage, but some information such as personal safety information cannot be fully public. It is needed to fine grained flexible access control. The system we propose can change data access permission by stored contents dynamically.
