As the movement of failured detritus of land slump in the steeper mountain slope is more rapid than in the gentle one, land slumps have distinguished between landslides and landcreeps.Analysis of terrestrial properties in respect to landslides is made in this paper.
A process of landsliding begins with the grow out of failure, developes with expansion of failured area and ceases with diminution of unstable portion and recovering of the vegitation. In a certain terrain, it contains some landslides of various age in the sequence of a process and numbers of landslides n (t) successively changes as following function
where U is a increment numbers of landslides a year and K is a decrement ratio of landslides a year.
The ultimate numbes of landslides in a certain terrain leads to U/K, as equilibrium numbers which is defined in this paper.
The average length of the landslide life v is given, using K, as follows
Terrestrial features involing stability against landsliding and volume estimation of failured detritus can be evaluated using U, K and z, for they are constant in a certain terrain which depend on multiple factors of geological, topographical and climatic conditions.
The variation of constant concerning different geological factors in two terrains in which granite and volcanic rocks underlain, is discussed.
