From the results obtained by lizuka and my associates since 1929, I claimed. “Diabetes mellitus is syndrome induced by certain toxic substances and loss of pancreatic function is no sole etiologic factor of diabetes mellitus” and think “if slow progressing changes in pancreas occur, carbohydrate regulating function may be compensated by other organs and in its result no diabetes developes.”
On the basis of this idea, we resected dog pancreas several times and we succeeded in resection of 7/8 without induction of diabetes. (the remaining was 1/8). This fact has been already published in general Meeting of Japanese Medical Association in 1943 (Journal of Japanese Society of Internal Medicine Vol31, No.3, 1943).
Application of a certain method and no treatment make possible total pancreatectomy without development of diabetes, I think, we are continuing this experiments.

Change of the concentration of blood-sugar of patients after the intravenous administration of glucose was expressed by the present writer as an exponential function of time (t) as follows: y(t)=ae-bt+c y(t): Concentration of blood-sugar (mg/dl)
where t: Time lapse after administration (10 minutes 1)
e: Basis of natural logarithm a, b, c,: Empirical constants.
The writer applied above-mentioned formula to the diabetic patients injected hypertensive glucose, and found folio wing tendencies: (1) After insulin therapy of three weeks or more, e-b decreases conspicuously when e-b≥0.070. Sometime, c decreases also.
    (2) As to the diabetic patients who have progressed favourably after their insulin therapy, both of e-b and c, or at least, one of the two intend to decrease.
Thus we can expresss quantitatively how the decreasing speed of concentration of blood-sugar changes after insulin therapy in the cases of diabetes mellitus, by the values of e-b and c in the above-mentioned formula.

The authors performed a few clinical and experimental investigations on the purpose to detect the relation between renal diseases and the diencephalon hypophyseal system.
The results are summarised as follows: 1) We made the pituitrin-test to know the function of the diencephalon hypophyseal system. Thus in nephrosis the basophile leucocytes in circulating blood were remarkably increased in number.
    2) The sella turcica in nephrosis were generally small in size and flat in shape.
    3) Continual radiation by X-ray upon the diencephalon of the rabbit caused histologically the nephrotic changes in the kinkney. It was also proved clinically the nephrotic syndromen were often improved or entirely disappeard, when the diencephalon was put under radiation of X-ray.
Judging from the above results, the diencephalon hypophyseal system is thought to have close connection on the outbreak of nephrotic: syndromen.

Prof. Y Tokumitsu and his co-operators have proved that repetition of physico-chemical irritation makes the living body unresponsive or show paradoxical reaction and that the pathogenesis is caused by qualitative functional alteration of the specific organ.
The writer proved from the following experiments that the reason for the non-rise of temperature of the rabbit after repeated injection of high-tonic Nacl solution is due to aberration of the thyroid function.
When a rabbit is intravenously injected 30cc per kg. of 10% Nacl solution, its temperature rises, but if this injection is repeated over 15 time it does not invite Nacl fever. In this case the noamrl rabbit, treated beforehand with the serum of the above mentioned rabbit, controls the Nacl fever because the controlling substance of Nacl fever is produced in the blood of the repeatedly injected rabbit.
This active substance vanishes on the same day the thyroid gland 'is removed, but it does not vanish by the removal of other organs. Besides, abnormal reaction and active substance in the blood as above do not appear in the thyroidectomized rabbit with repeated injection of high-tonic Nacl solution. When the thyroid gland of rabbit repeatedly injected with high-tonic Nacl solution is transplanted to another rabbit the Nacl fever does not occur but active substance appears in its blood. From the above results we can understand that the thyroid function alterates qualitatively and that aberrated substance appears in the blood. At this time the thyroid shows a figure of Struma parenchymatosa; that is, the follicular epithelium shows a strong hypertrophy and proliferation and the colloid decreases and thins.

Author had given the outline by the 1st report (a lecture at the 23rd Japanese Endocrin Society) that there seems to be some meaning in endocrinologie with regards to the testicle-size and criminal-quality. Once agein, here I am going to publish the results, making clear the correlation between testicle-size and measured-value of physical-constitution in addition to a consideration concerning the criminal-quality and the physique etc. 1.505 healthy inmates of ages, ranging from 16 to 65 were used as the objective.
They were shown each correlation-koeffizient (r) that r=0.26 in puberty from 16_to some 26 years old, and r=-0.11 in after the period of their manhood, from 39 to some 50 years old, r=0.22 in the height, r=0.30 in the weight, r=0.26 in the chest, r=0.047 in toe Rohrer's index, r=0.054 in the ratio-chest, r=0.33 in the grasping-power, r=0.18 in the penis.
And it is found that the tendency appears the average-products of testicle-size, keeping pace with others below, increase as the value of height, chest, grasping-power grows larger and vice versa it also grows decrease as values of the other three grows decrease. As they grow older, it shows that the maximum-value whose height in about 25 years of age, the grasping-power in some 30 years old, the weight in some 33 years old, the chest in some 40 years old, and after that they go on the road to decrease the measured-value being concerned.
If each group of criminal is compared, there is a difference between each measured-value, that is, the measured-value is the smallest in the case of the fraud, the biggest in the case of the vicious-offender, and the leaceny takes the middle course in adult (from 21 to 50 years old) of 1.262 inmates.
The measured-value of physique etc. are as follows:
The statistics teaches us that there seems to be some signification among the measured-value of their height weight, chest, graspingpower in the fraud, larceny, and vicious-offenders.
Comparing the mean by way of _??_ obtained are as follows:
Summarising these results, I have found that there seems to be some meaning between the physical.constitution and the each group of criminals, and some correlation between the physique and the testiclesize, and in the case of the measured-value of the physique shows as well as the case of the texticle-size (1st report) indicates.

From an intense cachectic autopsy case, the writer obtained the following findings:
    1) The hypophysis was occupied by colloidal small cysts and high calcification. The anterior-lobe cells were only found here aed there, and besides the middle-lobe and the posterior-lobe were lost.
    2) All splanchnic organs, especially every endocrine organs showed the strong atrophy.
