Digital signal processing LSIs for SVHS format VTR have been deveroped. These LSIs are ; (1) Y/C Separator , (2) Luminance Signal Processor , and (3) Chrominance Signal Processor . This new signal processing system consists of A/D , D/A converters and an analog interface IC , in addition to these three LSIs , and corresponds to NTSC , PAL and pseudo SECAM television formats. This paper describes the detail construction of this system , specification and function of each LSIs.
For lower shifting FM carrier recording, carrier-phase resetting at every horizontal pulse to remove moire, recording of carrier free of higher harmonics and spurious spectra and FM demodulation using precise wideband multiplier to prevent inverted white peaks, are discussed. By using the newly developed FM system above, a carrier frequency can be shifted from 19MHz to 15.5MHz keeping the other parameters at FM modulation intact, and qualities of both reproduced Pictures are almost the same.
This paper describes compact 8mm video mechanism needed for high performance and high reliability recording with 16-bit digital audio (PCM) and tape-running stability. The characteristics of this newly developed mechanism are as follows. (1) Three-dimensional tape path. (2) Serial tape loading mechanism. (3) φ40mm cylinder with motor mounted to upper cylinder.
This paper describes the new actuator system containing magnetic heads. The magnetic heads are mounted on a ginbal spring which is moved by a voice coil motor. And we have developed an experimental cylinder system containing said actuator. This actuator system has been optimized by being raised the resonance frequency of the ginbal spring and being enhanced its controlled band by addition of a damping sensor circuit. In the result,we attained in the following. 1)The width of controlled band is 300 Hz. 2)Track density is 4200 TPI on a Metal Evaporated tape.
