In the coast of Kochi pref. "Bryde's whale"(BALAENOPTERA EDENI) species and "Sperm whale"(PHYTER MACROCEPHALUS) species can be observed,which has made the area famous for the "whale watching". In Kochi station, focusing on the "Bryde's whale", live TV program of whale trailing has been planned and produced. Technically, the key station was placed in the shore, and pictures shooted in the helicopter, in the whale watching ship as well as in the shore were fully optimized, which has enabled the production of the trailing of whales extending over 30km on the sea. Our operations carried out connecting the land, the sea and the sky are briefly described in this report.
FPU Operation System is developed for responding to broadcast emergency news more quikly. This system is controlled by personal computers with three data-bases. It Is able to operate all FPU-receiving at Tokushima station of NHK. It has a function of automatical direction adjustment of parabolic reflector antenna, and it also help us searching FPU sending points and relay route. Moreover it can regulate video signal and audio of FPU output. This system was developed at Tokushima station of NHK.
On June 9, 1993, the Royal Wedding of Crown Prince Hironomiya and Crown Princess Masako was held in Tokyo. NHK's Coverage of ceremony in the imperial palace and the parade that followed was the first ever extensive simulcasting live broadcast using HD-TV and NTSC. A total of 15 OB VANs and 60 HDTV cameras were used to connect each broadcast relay spot.
This Paper describes real applications of the Multimedia environments in the LIVE broadcasting fields. The focus will be Multimedia personal computers and interactive graphic images. The creation of interactive information, and graphics database involves the combined use of hight performance personal computers, hight speednetworks, and digital media.
This is a measurement system which has been developed for a TV transmitter, most of items of measurement, are automatically done by a personal computer. How to operate this system is very easy. As obeying the guide message to be indicated on the computer display, we can operate it, it is possible to measure a lot of items of measurement quickly and easily without no expert. And as the data sheets being finally printed out can be used as official papers, it doesn't take so long time to draw up the data sheets, and that contributes to the labor-saving work, too.
This is a basic study aiming to reduce human error in the operation of the control room of a local broadcasting station. Up until now, interfacing between man and machine has been the forcus of inprovement. Our approachi, houever, includes the improvement of man, machine, management and working environment from the viewpoint of human engineering. We believe that by examining the issue from all angles, we will be able to not only reduce human error but also produce a system which is easy and convenient to work in, as well as an interesting and confortable working space.
