A new digital card camera system is developed, which utilizes an IC memory card as recording media. The image signal data are mainly digital-processed by the use of ADCT (Adaptive Discrete Cosine Transform) and Huffman cording for the compression, which is a indispensable technique for handling the imaging data. As the image data is digitally recorded in the card media, there appears little deteriorations in image quality through post-processings such as duplication, editing and transmission. This digital card imaging system is easily linked with computers, so a new area of electric imaging will be started.
