Anisotropic metal electrodes, which have sub-micrometer order fine strings of metal on substrates, should be promising candidates for a variety of applications such as semi-transparent electrode, addressing electrode or polarizing films. In this work, we succeeded in fabricating the electrodes by using a simple and low cost process. In this process, Au was deposited onto friction-transferred poly (tetrafluoroethylene) (PTFE) /Glass substrate. We evaluated the performance of the electrodes (Au/PTFE/Glass) by Atomic Force Microscope (AFM), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Current-Voltage characteristic and Transmission spectra. We also succeeded in fabricating a polarized organic electroluminescent (EL) devices by using this electrodes.
