    1) Total protein in normal rat serum shows a marked increase along with growth until the 4th week after birth, followed by a slight decrease at the 6th week and subsequently by a gradual increase until the 14th week. Females showed slightly higher values than males. Albumin and total protein showed approximately similar fluctnations. Scarcely any changes in α-globulin were seen according to the age in weeks. β-globulin markedly increased until the 4th week after birth, followed by a gradual decrease by the 8th week and further by a gradual increase until the 10th week. γ-globulin increased until the second week after birth followed by a gradual decrease by the 5th week, and further by a gradual increase until the 10th week.
    2) Rats with chloroma showed a decrease in total protein and albumin, an increase in α2-globulin, and a decrease in β-globulin and γ-globulin in serum.
    3) The rate of transference of rat chloroma decreased with advancing age, being probably related with the ability of production of immunoglobulin in vivo.
    4) In serum of rats resisting the transference of chloroma, γ-globulin was increased to twice the normal level.
    5) The protein fractions of serum of rat with chloroma and rat resisting transference of chloroma probably reflect active pattern based on active reaction of the living organism against the tumor.

Study was performed on the relationship of rate of hemolysis, partial oxygen pressure of arterial blood and the production of erythropoietin in the phenylhydrazine-treated rabbits to examine the influencing factor in erythropoietin production.
In the group showing rapid rate of hemolysis, the hemoglobin concentration, at the beginning of elevation erythropoietin, was lower than that of slow rate of hemolysis. However, increasing rate of erythropoietin activity revealed higher in the group of rapid hemolysis.
When the hemoglobin concentration reached down about 10 Gm/dl., the partial oxygen pressure of arterial blood began to decrease preceding the elevation of erythropoietic activity regardless the rate of hemolysis.

Double primary carcinoma in the same patient is uncommon. Here reported were seven cases of double carcinoma.
The first case was a sixty-five year old man. The pathological examination revealed clear cell carcinoma of the kidney and cholangiocellular carcinoma of the liver.
The second case was a eighty-one year old woman. The pathological examination revealed hepatocellular carcinoma of the liver and adenocarcinoma of the lung.
The third case was a sixty-eight year old man. The pathological examination revealed adenocarcinoma of the adrenal and squamous cell carcinoma of the lung.
The fourth case was a forth-one year old woman. The pathological examination revealed squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix uterus and adenocarinoma of the uterine body.
The fifth case was a seventy year old man. The pathological examination revealed hepatocellular carcinoma of the liver and adenocarcinoma of the thyroid.
The sixth case was a forthy-nine year old woman. The pathological examination revealed squamous cell carcinoma of the esophagus and adenocarcinoma of the thyroid.
The seventh case was a forty-two year old man. The pathological examination revealed cholangiocellular carcinoma of the liver and adenocarcinoma of the thyroid.
