We are now developing a Hivision-computer aided minimally invasive surgery system based on HDTV technology. Until now, for reduction of surgical intervension and surgical procedures, doctors operate acording to his images obtained by presurgical measured data. Hivion CAS is able to support these procedures with HDTV reference pictures such as CT images. In the sence of Virtual Hospital, doctors can discuss each other via network about the simulation and navigation in an operating theater. Thus they can chose the best surgical procedure by interactive diagnosis through medical images.

HDTV High Speed CCD Camera System was developed for telecasting sports event. It is composed of a 4-CCD camera head with 1.3Mpixel CCD arrays in a Alternative Dual-green pick up metod, 2.92Gbps optical transmitter, Slow Adaptor, 3 CCUs and 3 VTRs. Tripled speed signals are generated by CCD driver. Two CCD arrays for green, output 90fields every second alternately. Each of CCD arrays for blue and red, output 180field every second. Slow Adaptor converts these singals to standard signals and distributes to 3 CCUs which process signals digitally. Finally processed signals are recorded by 3 VTRs. Slow motion image is outputted by playing 3 VTRs at normal speed alternately. We report the configuration of the system, and its operation.

It is well known that saturation signal level of CCD image sensor with VOD (Vertical Overflow Drain) photo diode varies with substrate impurity density. However, analytical results between them are not obtained yet. In this paper, the saturation signal level is calculated using drift-diffusion model as a function of the photo diode structure and operation conditions. Using this method, impurity fluctuations at the peripheral of CZ and MCZ and epitaxial wafer were ±11%, ±16% and ±6%, respective1y and those at the center were ±7% and ±9% and ±6%, respectively. Distinctive features of impurity fluctuation pattern for these wafers were clarified. The minimum detectable impurity fluctuation reaches to ±2%.
