In this paper, we make some experiments to construct a kind of super-panoramic view image, whole view image, by synthesizing photographs in the different directions taken by plural cameras. In general, photographs have some distortions. The most critical distortions in this experiments is that of projecting images to exposure plane. We take an approach to allocate the pictures to a virtual sphere by projecting digital images and synthesize them. Each picutres have different lightness originated by the brightness of each direction. We apply three oprations, brightness revision, brightness matching and edge fusion, to reduct unevenness of the constructed image.

For distortionless stereoscopic display, it is necessary to reconstruct the visual space congruent with the taken space by stereoscopic camera. In field-sequential stereoscopic display, it is difficult to keep the fixed geometric relation between screen and eyes, because the images are displayed on the fixed screen. Some spatial distortions are also caused by the projection of both the left and the right images on the same screen. In this paper, a displaying method of field-sequential stereo images using virtual screens united with observer's eyes are described. By measuring the relative positions of observers eyes and display screen and doing the perspective projection of virtual screen images using 3D computer graphics functions, the congruent space with the taken space by stereoscopic camera can be always reconstructed.

This paper describes a new method for tracking objects in 3D motion from image sequences by constraints in the scene. Many methods based on the gradient scheme have been proposed for tracking of objects. However, these methods have a serious drawback, in which tracking error sometimes increases during a long image sequence due to the various noise. The proposed method enables us to track the objects in long time by the gradient-based constraint with some scene constraints, that is, constraints on position, velocity, and acceleration from scene. Experiments in real image sequences support the precise tracking in long time.

In this paper, a visual information system for an office environment using a high performance media server, the Fujitsu Media Server, is described. In this system, videos are encoded by MPEG-2 compression method, stored in the server, and transmitted on demand. To apply such a system in IP based networks, we have developed a new retransmission protocol with which the continuous data such as video can be transmitted. Using this system, we have been evaluating a visual information system suitable for an office environment.

The use of computers with internet technology has accelerated the electronic storage and exchange of business information in office systems. Although the utilization of shared information is a key issue in modern organizations, the purpose of communication is to exchange information among individual parsons which have different concepts or backgrounds. Our research focuses on interaction in network-based communication. In this paper we describe a new framework of Communication Navigator using network agent technology. Communication Navigator provides interactive GUI and Information working space to encourage understanding each network users. Using Communication Navigator, they can find their position and plot the course of their issues.

This report is a description concerning the construction of the system which enable enhance ability of field service process in the factory that produce consumer mass products. And also it feed backs field information in the research and development section and production section by the online database through the network of all service station over the nation wide. Namely, with this system, it is possible to share the field information necessary for the dynamic activities of the factory production among the sections concerned.

E-mail messages forwarding services, which enable users to receive and send e-mail messages by way of the transferring server on the Internet from a visiting site, are proposed. The Transferring server allows e-mail messages forwarding from the WWW browser carrying Java. The services using of an e-mail communication protocol for e-mail messages forwarding evade firewall systems of distributed networks, and a password authentication and information forwarding method which is named PERM enhances the security. In this paper, a services system configuration among a mail server, a transferring server and a client terminal is described and availability of this services is discussed.
