We propose a method of digital watermark, embedding ID in the recorder for tracking illegal copying of digital contrents. This watermarking process is separated into two parts, the transmission part and the receiving part, in order to avoid the load at the receiver. We have successfully evaluated the possibility of this proposed method by the computer simulation and the picture quality of data-embedded signal.
This paper presents a detection and recognition method of several peoples movements from a series of image data. We propose a method to transform the appeared image size of human body into a real image size in order to extract the position and motion loci of several peoples in a real space.
TAO has initiated a project in which electronically available text of TV news programs is summarized and synchronized with the speech and video automatically, then superimposed on the original programs for the benefit of the hearing impaired people in Japan. This report describes the recent results of our research for technology of producing closed captions for TV programs, especially testing display method.
In this paper, we discuss the relation between body movement and emotion in the methods of the estimation of the impression and the analysis of motion pictures in the sport scene. Using the 3-D model of human bosy by VRML, we measured the body movement of the performers in the TV picture, and checked the result with the impression.
M-motion is a creative and learning environment that draws upon art history and design principles to enable the production of better computer images. In order to convey the intended message effectively, an artist must wisely make use of colours, textures, rules of composition and lighting effects. Inevitably a good control of these elements will also help emphasize the emotional content of the digital artwork. In order to help beginner and intermediate artists achive this level of control, we propose a set of tools and a database of multimedia elements. Elements of the existing database were extracted from art masterpieces and classified by their specific emotional impact. This database does not contain clip art but rather is composed of essential elements such as assorted colour palettes, textures, composition and lighting aids.
In this paper, we propose "Multimedia Montage", which is the structural synthesis of multimedia contents, such as movies and sounds, in time and space, for the purpose of communications by images. In this study, we introduce the counterpoint theory in music to compose movie structures and use a script to describe the structure. By making example movies based on counterpoint theory, developing a prototype system, and making a movie synthesis experiment using the prototype, we confirm the effectiveness of our counterpoint method in image expression using multimedia.
