CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS FREE ACCESSThe Tenth Color Imaging Conference was held in November, 2001 in Scottsdale, Arizona, U.S.A. This article introduces five papers. The first paper investigates several methods for the re-characterization of color printers with minimal effort. The second paper proposes a method to obtain multi-primary control values from XYZ for multi-primary color reproduction. The third paper proposes a method to estimate the visual difference between printed and display images. The forth paper presents an evaluation method of color estimation accuracy for multispectral camera. CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS FREE ACCESSIn the 22th International Display Research Conference held in NICE, 24 and 10 papers have been presented in the sessions of organic and inorganic electroluminescent(EL) displays, respectively. In organic-EL(Organic Light-Emitting Diode: OLED), a lot of research results were reported concerning organic material and design such as dye-dopants, hole-transporting layer and carrier injection layer. In addition, unique devices such as transparent EL, high-contrast EL and highly reflective EL were introduced together with topical theme "Top emission structure" and "Triplet exciton". Impurity doping technology with "n-type" and "p-type" dopants attracts a great deal of attention in Late News. Furthermore, 2.1-in. diagonal passive drive full-color EL display and polymer micro-display with 0.2-in. diagonal size have been presented in poster session. In inorganic EL, 17-in. full-color video prototype display was reported and demonstrated with an advanced performance. The blue efficiency was significantly increased, so that further improvement of green and red phosphor should be discussed for the high quality image of EL display.View full abstractDownload PDF (577K) -

I found the 37 presentations in three AMD sessions, one poster session and late news. Here, some of interesting topics among them afe reviewed.
