The various virtual space system that three-dimensional computer graphics was applied is built and operationalized. But there is few system that expressive feature of 3DCG can be made effective use of in fully. Because there is not interchangeability of polygon and motion data, and interface of systems in not unified. In order to solve these problem, we suggest a frame of "3D Actor Object". 3D Actor Object is equipped with polygon data, motion data, knowledge base and modules processing these data, and is autonomous in virtual space.
Stereoscopic displays that do not require observers to wear special spectacles are required in various fields, but most of the traditional methods are complex and expensive. We have developed a very reasonable and unique stereoscopic display using a pair of 2D-displays, a water tank, and sheet glasses. This paper describes an antireflection technique to reduce the cross talk for the new stereoscopic display.
A new 3D television system is introduced that uses a photorefractive crystal, and a time-sharing display method. By using the photorefractive crystal as a kind of screen through which the hologram is recreated, we can realize high quality, off-axis, and computer-generated holograms.
Electro-holography is expected as three-dimensional television. It can reconstruct true 3-D image including the focal depth what is very important for natural 3-D image observation. We have been researching for electro-holography using liquid crystal devices by laser light. We could obtain considerably good color moving images, but influence of speckle noise could not be ignored and the system became large size. For these reasons we developed white light reconstruction technology which is useful for color image reconstruction without speckle noise. This time we report about characteristics improvement of reconstructed image in the case of using white light source.
