A situation video image should convey sufficient situation information, while protecting specific person's privacy information in the scene. This paper proposes a system which automatically identifies a person by face recognition, tracks him or her, and displays the image of the person in modified form such as silhouette with or without name, or only name in characters that is equivalent to an invisible person instead of the original video image. In several applications considered, the silhouette display with person's name seems to be most appropriate for the purpose.
When we use a stereo camera system, we have to calibrate each camera using the pattern whose 3-dimension structure is known. In this case, some points which are extracted as a feature point from an image plane of each camera are related to the points of another camera. But feature points are not always extracted stably. Therefore some points must be corrected by hand. This has made it difficult to calibrate a stereo camera system automatically. To solve this problem, we developed an automatic camera calibration method with minization of variance of brightness value of a disparity map.
Recently, the technology of the INTERNET infrastructure has been progress and the this many application are realized. In INTERNET, there is many Live-Video Site which have Networking Camera. Some of them can Pan/Tilt with large stand and can Zoom with its motor control. This paper summarized the inside of WWW Server processing, and explain the device control method on WWW Server. Then the design and implementation method of the Networking Camera with pan/tilt, zoom control are proposed. Furthermore the control feature and performance are mentioned.
Developing quality may be the most difficult and costly task of developing a computer based courseware. Despite this, little has been done to support the reuse of multimedia learning material in a coherent and systematic way. In this paper, we propose a particular way of structuring a courseware to conform Lessons, Units and Courses in order to facilitate the use of the same material in different situations as well as the use of the material in other lessons. This is based on structuring a lesson's computer-based learning material as a "Didactic Network". A Diactic Network is a semantic network which represents the lesson. Although this approach was not developed exclusively having the wireless and mobile scenario in mind, it is a good example of developing courseware which should be used in different situations, including the mobile scenario.
