This paper proposes a method which lays a color image over a QR code to improve the readability and design ability of QR codes. The proposed method adjusts the luminance of the image according to the QR code to be free from decoding error. This feature of the proposed method allows put the image even on the space which surrounds the QR code for correct decoding. Another way to hide information on the space is introduced based on the above mentioned feature.

In order to realize stable image quality in the constrained bit-rate, the rate control method is important. There are some sequence which are difficult to predict the amount of the generated bits. In this paper, low delay 2-Pass rate control for H.264/AVC multi-core video encoder are proposed. The proposed method achieves up to -2.8% coding gain at the BD-Bitrate compared with normal 1-Pass rate control.

This work addresses the reconstruction for an animated lung surface modeling by using respiratory motion patterns from temporal image sequences of MR (Magnetic Resonance), which were acquired in free breathing. Since a temporal image sequence represents a spatio-temporal volume, coronal and sagittal images have in common a vertical line in space. The multiple registration is based on the registration of the common vertical line among multiple coronal and sagittal temporal image sequences. A temporal sequence associated with the common vertical line defines a 2D spatio-temporal (2DST) image where respiratory motion is detected using Hough transform and active contours. Then, the coincidence points between respiratory motions are searched by finding consistency among common vertical lines in order to reconstruct the 3D lung surface model. The experimental results are shown to evaluate the proposed method.

CG creators need the same sensibility of camerawork as professionals' when making CG video contents by setting camerawork in the CG space. Techniques for automatically controlling appropriate camerawork in the CG space have been studied. Based on the Kansei evaluation, this study is a fundamental investigation into automatic generation of camerawork adapted to a viewer's environments. In this paper, we focus on the eye movements at the time of watching CG video contents. We conduct an eye tracking experiment that examines a relation between the eye movements and impression changes related to camerawork.

Recently, image projection has been popular since projectors advance in miniaturization and high brightness. For image projection on an arbitrary plane, luminance correction has been studied to remove influence of pattern on the projected plane. In this paper, we examine luminance correction using interframe information of corrected images to realize image projection that can reduce discomfort.
