CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS FREE ACCESSOFDM is increasingly utilized in the field of mobile radio because it is robust over phasing or multipath. However, the symbol period should be short in order to lower the normalized fdTs in the usage for high speed mobile. It is difficult to secure high bit rate in the narrow occupied bandwidth. In this report, we evaluated our picture receiving system, where receivers were decentralized around the necessary receiving area and connected by optical fibers for diversity composition, and fdTs was set as relatively high by plotting the frequency central value from the guard correlation to Doppler effect. Also, we revised the equivalent processing method at the frequency band edge. The results show the system enables a narrow band real-time wireless picture transfer with better frequency usage efficiency from high speed mobile.View full abstractDownload PDF (731K) -

CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS FREE ACCESSEWBS (Emergency Warning Broadcasting System) which can automatically activates the receivers compatible with its function, is provided via both digital and analogue broadcasting in Japan as efforts for disaster reduction against to earthquakes, tsunami and so on. The EWBS via digital broadcasting is one of key features of ISDB-T and is contributory to deploy ISDB-T to overseas countries having a lot of interest in disaster reduction. On the other hand, the EWBS can be provided via analogue radio broadcasting, so its technology can be also deployed to overseas countries without installation of ISDB-T, smooth progress of digital broadcasting due to some problem. In this time, we conducted a research to understand need for the EWBS in some countries and a consideration to update the specification of the EWBS currently operated in Japan since 1985.View full abstractDownload PDF (685K) -
