Since we started to operate V-Studio in April 1997, we have been producing regular programs stably. On the other hand, we have been trying to expand the ability by adding such as "camera traking", "video mapping with key channel", and "DVR play-back control" for these two years and a half. As the result, V-Studio is not only stable but also multi-functional system which is useful for special effects to recorded programs. Following is outline of this sytem with the both aspects of facility and operation.
This reel is the station jingle for the high definition television program. The Aspect ratio is 1920_*1035. We used 3Dequalizer for perspective matching, SOFTIMAGE 3D for 3D CG(modeling, animation) Mental ray for Rendering, Flame for composite and effect like a painting. Woman, ladder, cookies are from real world. We spent three weeks for production.
We have developed a real-time video processing device by which actors and actress's skin, captured by TV camera, can be easily changed to younger one or elder in digital processing. In this paper, we describe the new algorithms, implemented into the device, according to the process of our investigations. The points of our new algorithms are a new changing method of a human skin to elder one and a new method of age-manipulation of human skin between younger and elder as will. The algorithm guarantees the result image of the skin-age-manipulation looks natural.
In recent years, the number of Hi-vision digital imaging requirements by TV program directors for novel and attractive productions has been increasing. One of the biggest issues to meet these desires is a development of Hi-vision virtual studio sets. With a good combination of our own original computer graphics techniques and a commercial virtual set system, we have just completed a big challenge to a digital imaging production for a NHK's entertainment Hi-vision program. In this paper, we describe an outline of the digital imaging production.
This paper is described about Fuji Field Data Assist System (F^2DA) which is data transportation system based on Personal Handy phone System especially suit for golf production. F^2DA consist of Base Station (BS), Cell Station (CS), Personal Station (PS), Data Servers and Workstation based on WindowsNT. F^2DA enable to exchange data between Data Server, workstation and PS using TCP/IP. In case of golf production, we get information which kind of club the player is using, distance to pin, wind speeds and wind direction from PS. And Field stuff is possible to browse leading information (score). PS is available to have application program which include GUI for data input, data browser and transmission protocols. F^2DA enable us to input data into data server correctly as soon as field stuff get information compare to ordinary method using wireless audio communication and to reduce number of operators.
We propose new HD color bar and a method of color control in the digital broadcasting. The color bar can be used for HD, SD, 16 : 9, 4 : 3 video formats. We developed new component vector scope for multi-video formats. Hue and Chroma level are measured correctly by cursor pointing operation. We describe a method of the camera control using a piece of skin color paper.
