We propose a new weather information service for ISDB data broadcasting. All contents are produced automatically by a small system which consists of a few PCs. The system provides fundamental 10 kinds of weather information and also its detail information : forecasts of 850 points in Japan. The information will be broadcasted every a few minutes.
OFDM transmitting output equipment, radio frequency band pass filter (BPF) and nonlinear AM-PM amplifier, are simulated by using one of communication system design support tool. It is confirmed that BPF characteristics do not affect BER (Bit Error Rate)-C/N performance owing to pilot signal equalization, if FFT size is more than 2048 (number of carriers is 1536). Effects of several AM-PM amplifiers on BER-C/N performance and transmitting spectrum are calculated.
We propose a Media Synchronization Method for MPEG-TS in BS digital broadcasting in future and investigate a concept of the method in ARIB. The proposed method is applied to adjust the nominal clock difference between BS transmission signals and its user each of which has its own system clock. An effect of this method is showed by the trial of the MUX and the REMUX for BS digital broadcasting.
