IDMC '02 (International Display Manufacturing Conference) was held in Seoul, Korea, from Jan. 29 through Jan. 31, 2002. Number of presentations and addresses was 134 in total, and that of participants was around 500. This will report the summary of the conference.
The 2^<nd> International Display Manufacturing Conference (IDMC) 2002 was held from January 29 through 31, 2002 in Seoul, Korea. This report summarized several presentations from the following sessions; AMLCDs(Low power), TFT-LCD Materials, LTPS and Poster session.
The 2nd IDMC was held in Sheraton Wallker Hill in Seoul. There were 15 oral and 5 poster presentations in OLED sessions. Sanyo showed the improvement of color chromaticity and luminance efficiency by using new red material. CDT(Cambridge Display Technology) introduced the pilot-line of polymer OLED and Samsung SDI showed the picture of 3.6" polymer OLED.
PDP sessons of 2002 IDMC consit of 4 sessions of PDP Discharge, PDP Manufacturing Technologies, PDP Basic, and Poster session. Even this international conference is related with the display manufacturing, these sessions are futuer prospects of color PDPs, the operation mechanisms, reviews on the research and development of PDPs which inculded the invited papers as well as the contributed ones. It was very impressive that the poster session consits of results obtained by youong students.
IDMC 2002 was held in Seoul on January 29-31. This report will summarize the following two sessions and the poster-session that related to FEDs on IDMC 2002. session 16: CNT-FEDs session 18: FED Materials
This paper summarizes the 9^<th> Color Imaging Conference form the view point of LCD color. For the purpose of implementing the color management of CRTs, various reports have been offering studies from many aspects. The results of such studies are generally and widely utilized today as the color management specifications stipulated by the ICC (International Color Consortium). On the other hand, with regard to the present circumstances for LCDs, the study results of the CRT case are employed as they are, and no systematic studies have been made on color management focusing on LCDs. Against this background, this paper wraps up two proposals in CIC from a view point of color management of the LCDs.
The Ninth Color Imaging Conference was held in November, 2001 in Scottsdale, Arizona, U.S.A. Several papers relating color and color images were presented. This report introduces three papers relating projector. The first paper discusses how to make an interactive wall-size display with a combination of projectors. The second paper introduces a practical system of electronic cinema named DLP using a strong light source and DMD (digital micro device), which has many selectively movable high precision mirrors built in a CMOS chip. The third paper discusses color measurement problems of projector system, especially OHP (over head projector), and concludes that color measurement on the screen is necessary for accuracy.
