CISPR regulate 50Ω artifical mains networks as the equivalent circuit of the mains power lines. The power lines are distributed constant circuit and formed many resonant circuits. If a pulse current flows in it, will be induced many damped oscillations and formed standing waves in it. But even if a pulse current flows in the resistance, it is no damped oscillation, no standing wave and no disturbance. The burst noises are strong disturbance source. CIPSR regulate similar circuit and its current is resistive. Actual burst noises current is reactive. Then actions of both currents are quite different.

EMI measurement at 3m using biconi-log antenna is simulated, and compared to the corresponding EMI measurement using half wave dipole antenna. As a result, when the distance between equipment under test(EUT)and the center of biconi-log antenna is defined as the measurement distance, difference between the measurement values by the biconi-log antenna and by the half wave dipole antenna become small. But even in this condition, maximum of the difference may become 3dB in 200-300MHz.

We numerically investigated the plasmon-resonance absorption with T-matrix method for the conical mounting of a diffraction metal Fourier grating where the plane of incident is not perpendicular to the grating grooves. In conical mounting, the plasmon-resonance absorption occurs both a TM and a TE polarized incident wave, and then the mode conversion occurs between an incidence wave and a diffracted wave through the plasmon-resonance absorption. The TE-TM mode conversion was analyzed which has not been analyzed by the T-matrix method by formulizing the unkown coefficient of an incident wave and a reflected wave for TE and TM component using a vector mode function.

In this paper, radiated emission characteristics from microstripline implemented with inductor and capacitor type EMI-filter were investigated. Measured results show reduction of high frequency signal and radiated emission from microstripline after implementation of EMI-filter near the input terminal. SPICE and Method of Moment calculation results of radiated emission from microstripline implemented with EMI-filter showed good agreement with the measured values.

The microwave coagulation therapy(MCT)has been used mainly for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma. In the treatment, a thin microwave antenna is inserted into the tumor, and the microwave energy heats up the tumor to produce the coagulated region including the cancer cells. At present, there is a problem that length of the coagulated region becomes longer into the antenna insertion direction. In order to overcome this problem, we introduced the coaxial-dipole antenna. In this report, we analyze characteristics of the coaxial-dipole antenna by using the FDTD calculations and experiments.

Wavelength-division multiplexing(WDM)makes us possible that existent optical fiber systems change to great broadband networks. As all optical transmission systems have already been provided due to a lot of technologies in this field for instance OFAs(Optical fiber amplifier), optical transmitters for ultra-long haul transmission over 100km are required. In this situation, we have developed compact-size optical transmitters with an electro absorptive modulator, to be applied in long haul DWDM systems. The transmitters have a good stability of wavelength so that they can also be utilized in 100GHz grid. Furthermore, superior performance, which means that transmission penalty is 0.5dB, has been obtained by 2.5Gbps 400km transmission tests.

BY the analysis based on the FDTD method, we investigate for characteristics of electromagnetic wave radiated from PCB inside the housing with an aperture. It is found that the characteristics of electromagnetic wave vary with the location of PCB, and also that when the path of propagation depends on the measurements of equipment housing, the characteristics of electromagnetic wave vary with the measurements of equipment housing.

In this report, we propose the equivalent lumper element circuits for the KEC electric and magnetic SE(Shielding Effectiveness)test fixtures. The magnetic SE test fixture's equivalent circuit was constructed by introducing the Z-matrix of coupled transmitting and receiving antennas which was calculated by 3D-FDTD model. As a result, the magnetic test fixture could be replaced by a transformer model which has third coil whose load impedance is the sheet resistivity of the shielding material. The calculated SE by this model agrees well with the measured result within 3dB. The KEC electric SE test fixture was modeled by an equivalent lumped element circuit. Through this modeling, another shielding material parameter was found to be necessary for the characterization of shielding material with small apertures.

In this study, the influence of the instruction codes running in the computer on the near-magnetic-field is clarified by experiments and the investigation of timing-chart of CPU. It is concluded that the peaks of near-magnetic-field spectra are observed every Δf. (Δf= (clock frequency) / (required clocks for running the instruction))

Near magnetic field radiated from a PCB including two multi-loop is studied in this paper. It is found that the total amounts of near magnetic field can not be obtained from addition of each near magnetic field from a single sub-circuit. In addition, result of experiment proves that digital IC can be approximated by the current flowing through Vcc pin and Gnd pin of digital IC. And, the noise radiated from PCB can be controlled by inversing current direction flowing through IC's Vcc-Gnd pin.

In this study, the malfunction characteristic of voltage-to-frequency(V/F)converter type A/D converter is clarified for incident noise on AC mains. It is concluded that noise immunity of the A/D converter is dominated by one-shot multivibrator's noise immunity in V/F converter and the integrator shows the abnormal response according to one-shot multivibrator upset.
