1) In normal organs of matured animals (19 cases), the highest acid phosphatase value which was shown by dog's prostate (45KAU/g) was remarkably lower than that shown by the adult human prostate. Prostatic glands of rats and rabbits had not particularly high acid phosphatase values, preputial glands of rats showed the highest value (72.6KAU/g). Remaining organs showed only little differences compared to the human adult organs.
2) Acid phosphatase content in each individual organs, was not influenced by the male and female sex hormones in the rats, but the dog's prostate phosphatase content was remarkably reduced by estrogens.
