ジャーナル フリーNowadays, Chinese child care workers agree that it is important to encourage young children's initiative and sociality through play. But Chinese parents want their children to acquire knowledge at kindergarten. The purpose of this study is to examine how Chinese child care workers care for young children in a play setting. Chinese child care workers are in a transitional stage of early childhood education, which is required to encourage initiative, sociality and knowledge. We observed Chinese child care workers' behavior in play settings, and analyzed them. The Chinese play setting is concerned with caring for children en masse and Chinese child care workers mainly encouraged knowledge. But they respected the children's individuality and we saw that they made an effort to encourage young children's initiative. We were not able to see, however, that they respected the social relationship between children. They didn't encourage young children's sociality. ジャーナル フリーGinger milk pudding (jiang zhi zhuang nai) was prepared by incubating a mixture of ginger juice and milk heated to 70℃, for 60 min at 45℃. The ginger protease related to gel-formation was identified, and the effects of vitamin C [L-ascorbic acid (AsA)] were also investigated. The addition of 1 mM iodoacetamide depressed gel formation; in contrast, 10 mM ethylenediaminetetraacetate (EDTA) or 0.2% AsA enhanced the gel strength. Analysis by sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and measurement of the protease activity suggested that 1 mM iodoacetamide reduced the decomposition of caseins and that 10 mM EDTA promoted it. Scanning electron microscopic observations indicated that AsA induced an entangled microstructure of the ginger milk pudding gel. It is apparent from these results that cysteine protease was necessary for the formation of ginger milk pudding and that AsA produced a more entangled microstructure, thus increasing the gel strength, although the protease activity was not affected .抄録全体を表示PDF形式でダウンロード (1242K) -

ジャーナル フリーIn the Late Victorian period, uniforms for schoolgirls appeared in some girls' schools. From the1880s to 1890s, some girls' schools unified gymnastic clothing, including sashes and other items like hats or collars. During the1890s, some girls' schools began to regulate the clothes worn during physical training and team sports on the sports ground. At first gymnastic uniforms were worn only on the sports ground, but then gradually some of them became regulation dress for daily use. From around 1900, uniforms appeared in some schools where things like house colors and initials were introduced for uniformity. Schoolgirl uniforms evolved from gym clothes, and each item identified each team or school. It is clear that school uniforms played a role in showing a schoolgirl's sense of belonging. In addition, they allowed schoolgirls to move freely and gave them independence. Therefore, uniforms reflected the changing society and led to a new age. ジャーナル フリーIn order to examine mono-component soiled cloths for theoretical detergency studies we studied the preparation process and whether detergency can be calculated by reflectance. We used carbon black soiled cloth (a hydrophobic particulate soil), iron oxide ( Ⅲ ) soiled cloth (a hydrophilic particulate soil), and hemoglobin soiled cloth (a slightly water soluble soil). We found that various methods for removing the stains from the soiled cloths may be used to obtain moderate soil removal efficiencies. Carbon black soiled cloth can be prepared by using 2-propanol as a dispersion solvent and then soiling it with an automatic universal shaker. Iron oxide ( Ⅲ ) soiled cloth can be prepared by soiling it with Terg-O-Tometer after an ultrasonic dispersion process. Hemoglobin soiled cloth can be prepared using a steam heating process after soaking it with a fixed volume of hemoglobin solution. It was confirmed that the removal ratio of each of the three kinds of soiled cloths calculated using the K/S value of surface reflectance can be converted into a quantitative soil removal ratio.抄録全体を表示PDF形式でダウンロード (2494K)

ジャーナル フリーThe radical scavenging activity of several samples of ishiru , Japanese fish sauce made from fish or squid and mainly prepared in Ishikawa prefecture, was investigated. Ishiru made from squid (squid-ishiru ) showed significantly higher activity (1.70 mg of Trolox eq./g) than ishiru made from sardine, horse mackerel-added chub mackerel, and deep-sea smelt. Squid-ishiru also showed higher absorbance at 500 nm (the intensity of browning of ishiru ) and a greater content of total nitrogen than the other ishiru samples. The 70% ethanol extract of squid-ishiru was applied to Sephadex LH-20 gel filtration chromatography. Among the four peaks detected by the absorbance at 220 nm, peak 1 showed the highest radical-scavenging activity and was further purified by reversed-phase HPLC. Three peaks in the chromatogram showed even higher radical-scavenging activity, and a peptide was obtained from one of these peaks.
