The Chernobyl-4 accident was the worst ever experienced in the history of commercial nuclear power generations. The purpose of the computer conference was also to examine the accident and its consequences by technical experts with the use of tele-communication networks in the world so that all of experts could communicate each other by on-1ine computers anytime. The computer conference received 117 participants from 11 countries with various organizations such as governmental, research and private org'anizations. The computer conference was successfull in that timely conversation and exchange of opinions and informations were conducted among the participants by using a personal computer as a computer terminal at their offices or their homes. Such conference has benefits to those who are unable to make a long trip to other countries because they are able to participate in the international conference without making a trip. Future computer conference will be improved by adopting an automatic language translating tool so t.hat everybody can communicate by a telecommunication line with other participants. The present report summarizes experiences gained by the authors through participation in the computer conference.
