After having the Bromsulphalein test (abhrev. B. S. P. test) for 95 patients with pulmonary tuberculosis, in comparison with the relationships between the results and some liver function tests and clinical symptoms, I got the results as follows.
1) The results of the B. S. P. test at 30 minutes for 10 Healthy persona as control were the maximum 5%, the minimum 0%, and the average 2.6%.
2) We can put the positivity in the following orders: the exudative type ranks the highest (45.5%), the next the mixed type (25.0%), the next the productive type (16.7%), the last the cirrhotic type (8.4%).
3) We can recognize that the paralell relation exists generally between serum Takada's reaction and that one.
4) In the exudative type, Gros's reaction was expressed much more the positivity than that of this test.
5) There is no definite relationship between the cobalt reaction in serum and this one. It seems to have the reason that there are some differences essentially between those things.
6) The relationships between the P. S. P. test and the urobilinogen reaction in urine and Milion's reaction is in the paralell condition.
7) We can not recognize the specific relationships between this test and the quantity of ser-um protein and the red blood sedimentation rate.
8) No significant correlation is observed between the B. S. P. test and tubercle bacilli in sputum and complication.
9) As the body temperature rises, the positivity of this test becomes higher.
10) In slight cases, the positivity of the B. S. P. test is the lowest, and in moderately advanced cases next, and in serious cases the highest.
11) The one who has the cavity is considerably high in positivity, comparing the one who has none.
12) B. S. P. teat is simple to perform, and the result is sensitive, therefore, using with serum Takada's reaction the most effective clinical liver function test
