Two-tenth of mg of Nitromin, 1 mg of Azan, and 250 u of Carzinophyllin were administered to D. D.N mice for five consective daps. For measurement of liver tissue respiration, mice were slaughtered 24 hours after the suspension of administration.
In control group respiration rate (Qo
2 : mm
3/1 mg/1 hour) was 2.35, while Qo
2 of the groupe which was administered 1 mg of Cobalt Greenpole (Co-g) five times, 0.1 mg of Co-g for five times, Nitromin, Azan, of Carzinophyllin was 2.18, 2.35, 1.61, 1.83 and 1.73 respectably. These suggesting disturbauces of liver function.
When Nitromin and 1 mg of Co-g were adminstered simultaneously, Qo
2 was 2.33, and 2.35 in case of 0.1 mg of Co-g. When Azan and 1 mg of Co-g were administered simultaneously Qo
2 was 1.99, while 2.30 in case of 0.1 mg of Co-g. When Carzinophyllin and 1 mg of Co-g were administered simultaneously Qo
2 was 1.76, while 2.30 in case of 0.1 mg Co-g.
As shown in above results, the combined use of Co-g and anti-tumor substances increased the rate of tissue respiration to the control, with the exception of two cases. It seemed that the combined use of these compounds clinically produced not only good effects on the constituent factors of the blood, but also prevent liver disturbance of anti-tumor substances to some extent.
