Gaseous125I was present at 48±33 and 122±15 kBq in Na125I vials (74 MBq) purchased from Amersham and New England Nuclear, respectively. Gaseous125I leaked to the amount of 37±22 and 130±67 kBq during radioiodination by the chloramine-T and the enzymatic methods using 18.5 MBq Na125I, respectively. Radioactive wastes from radioiodination using 18.5 MBq Na125I evolved about 5.5 kBq of gaseous125I in first day of storage.
31 cases (male 15, female 16) who showed some disorders around the urinary bladder on excretory urogram (IVP) were extracted from about 400 cases of renoscintigram. The bladder images on IVP and renoscintigram were compared each other in these 31 cases. Similar changes around the urinary bladder were also found in renoscintigram as in IVP in almost all cases. Although the quality of the informations obtained was not superior to IVP, renoscintigram seemed to be useful in analyzing the image around the urinary bladder to some degree. Besides, it seemed valuable especially when impaired renal function gave the poor images on IVP. Thus we have to give our mind not to overlook the useful informations around the urinary bladder on the renoscintigram.
