99mTc-MDPの両側腎び漫性異常集積“hot kidneys”について, その定量化を検討した。その結果われわれの施設では骨シンチグラフィ1100例のうち, hot kidneysを呈したのは7例 (0.63%) であった。またhot kidneysの定量化としてA/D変換した画像より腎/腰椎accumulation density ratio (index) を求め, 対照群 (8例) と比較すると, 両者間に明らかな有意差を認めた。よってaccumulation density indexはhot kidneysの判定のさい, 有用な指標になるものと考える。
The effect of sodium citrate on the blood disappearance of67Ga was examined in rats. The half life value of the alpha phase and the initial AUC value (0-60 min) were dose-dependently decreased by sodium citrate. The binding of67Ga to serum proteins was also dose-dependently inhibited by sodium citrate.
The radioallergosorbent test (RAST) provides a reliable method for detecting of specific IgE antibodies against a wide variety of antigens. The method using tube added disc for the estimation have been widely used in routine assay. In this study, the method using tray added disc has developed in our laboratory. The results were as follows; (1) The method using tray showed good correlation to the original method. (2) Characteristics of the method are rapidity, simplicity and economics. (3) The reaction well of tray is flat bottomed and is good for disc reaction. (4) Coefficients of variation for intra assay were; (d1) : 9.40 - 9.68%, inter assay were 10.39-12.15% reslectively. (5) The seasonal variation of positive allergens and the correlation of d to h, g1to g3were estimated. The method using tray seems to be one of the most useful routine methods of RAST assay and checking the seasonal variation of RAST will give good advantages to estimate the regional pollution of pollens allergy.
The residual activities present in spent99Mo-99mTc generators and81Rb-81mKr generators were determined from a view point of the disposal of radiopharmaceuticals. The results showed that seven kinds of residual nuclides such as95Zr-95Nb, 103Ru, 90Sr, etc. were found in99mTc generators with maximum level of 740 Bq/3.7 GBq (0.02μCi/100 mCi) at one year after the reference date. In81mKr generators one year old, six nuclides such as57Co, 63Rb, 84Rb and others remained and these activities were less than 3.7 kBq/370 MBq (0.1μCi/10 mCi) . On the basis of these data, the disposal of99mTc generators and81mKr generators is discussed.
We examined the efficacy of a new commercial assay procedure (SCC RIABEAD®) for estimation of squamous cell carcinoma related antigen (SCC) . Intraassay and interassay variance were 4.0-14.6% and 4.6-17.0% respectively. Recovery and dilution tests gave satisfactory results. The normal range was under the level of 1.63 ng/ml. The patients with uterine cervical cancer or squamous cell carcinoma of the lung showed high positive rates. The values of SCC measured by SCC RIABEAD®were well-correlated to those by SCC RIAKIT®. However, SCC RIABEAD®showed lower values in low SCC level and higher values in high SCC level than SCC RIAKIT®.
In order to evaluate the influences of serum PTH assay in the various concentrations of serum calcium, we divided into three groups which serum calcium had below 8.0 mg/dl, 8.2 mg/dl to 9.8 mg/dl and above 10.0 mg/dl at random samples and assayed PTH in serum sample, using various kits of PTH assay obtained from commercial sources. Our results suggested that the measurement of serum PTH influenced by the concentration of serum calcium and therefore, should be taken an attention of serum calcium in each sample.
